JUSTIN: This was the final strip of our first year doing the comic. The core idea went through several different versions. Originally, it was going to be completely hand drawn as usual. Then came the idea to photograph ourselves and use word bubbles. The final version was very much influenced by my fondness of Andy Kaufman. We had friends stands in for us and for Loree Stark, the editor of The Murray State News.
OFTEN MISSED: Everyone catches Mr. Mittens in the second panel background, but far fewer notice Loree herself in the background of the fourth panel.
