I can’t stand different names for sizes. Sizes should generally follow the small, medium, and large varieties. However, we’ve all been somewhere where they don’t have those names. There’s the seafood restaurant that has trout, carp, and salmon sizes. Honestly, I have no idea what the difference between those three is, but the salmon sounds like it might swim back upstream making me sick.
I’ll take a carp. With extra butter.
This was inspired by the occasional run in with a student off campus, and the utter shock they suffer from such incidents. I think they’re truly traumatized to realize that teachers are real people with real lives.
Dr. Klownus looks particularly styling in this comic.
This one serves two purposes. First, it’s a great example of both the evil and insanity of Dr. Klownus. Second, it’s a nice tribute to a retiring colleague. Not the insanity or evil part. Well, I don’t think so at least.
Is this an incredibly mean act by Mr. Mittens? Sure. Is he really just taking his anger out on the animals, and not the vet directly? Sort of. One assumes a vet losing all of its animals to a rabies outbreak can’t be great for business. But yeah, Mr. Mittens is mostly just being a jerk.
I happen to own a cat that is an embarrassment to take to the vet. While she doesn’t physically attack people, she does manage to scream and wail enough to strike fear into the hearts of every other animal in the building. She’s a joy.
Vet is one of the few words, with more than one meaning, that is almost always viewed in a positive light. We like people who take care of animals, and we like people who take care of the bad guys. In fact, the only kind of vet we don’t like is the kind that is a vet of fighting for Hitler, and maybe the vet who treated his dog.
Poor little mice. All they want is to takeover the world, but as cats will, Mr. Mittens stands in their way.
If you note, there’s a recurring trend of characters grabbing Mr. Mittens by the scruff of his neck. This is probably why cats don’t hold more prominent positions in our society. They’re just helpless.
First, we are not endorsing mice or anyone else smoking. That seems like a goofy letter we’ll eventually get.
Second, I enjoy the unflappability of the professor. He is determined to kill these mice. It’s good to have goals in life.
This strip is basically a theory that I’ve had for a while–scientists really hate mice. Why else would you go into a field that spends a large amount of time torturing the poor creatures? Oh, sure, to save lives, but not mouse lives. Look people, I’m not saying it’s wrong, but there is certainly no denying that scientists just really want to kill mice.
I like that the mice are asking the audience for help. What have you done?
