Some are obviously going to draw a parallel between this strip and the oil spill in the Gulf. Was it inspired by it? Well, very tangentially. But there is nothing directly funny about the oil spill without getting political, and that’s not the type of jokes we do. Instead, what kind of spill would happen on a campus? Obviously canola oil.
