This whole series of strips has been gestating for a bit. The original concept there, but the storyline was a bit harder to figure out so that could involved multiple main characters.
Do I think people would actually watch G4N? Yes, yes I do. I fully expect to see it launched online any day now.
Whenever I’ve been placed in a hiring or casting situation, it always makes me sad what the qualifications actually end up being. Too blond or too smart are actual criticisms, if not legitimate. Knowing this provides both comfort and sadness about every missed opportunity of your own life.
This isn’t just a joke, I actually believe if you combined these four elements you’d have a hit television show. Repulsive and a sign of the Apocalypse, but a hit show none the less. That’s all that matters, right?
People say things like this are sick and twisted of parents to do, but look what a valuable lesson has stuck with Rick all these years? Maybe more holidays should be spiked with a good after-school bit or moralizing in as disturbing a manner as possible. What horrible ways could you teach kids to chew with their mouths closed?
The Reese’s peanut butter cup eggs really are the best. I’m not entirely sure why, either. I assume it has something to do with the changed peanut butter to chocolate ratio, but now that they make trees for Christmas and hearts for Valentine’s Day that hypothesis doesn’t seem to hold. They simply don’t taste as good. Maybe it’s psychological, but then that would mean I’m crazy for eggs…yeah, probably has something to do with the ratio.
I understand that many, many managers like to play power games, but it seems like some get dangerously close to someone getting hurt. A general rule might be to treat your employees in a meeting at least as well as Jigsaw would treat captives in the Saw films.
It’s always surprising how willing people are to share their dirty laundry on Facebook. And yes, that was meant both figuratively and literally. Did social media fundamentally change people, or have people always been eager to do so? For comedic effect, we’ll say a little of both. That leaves more opportunities for jokes.
It would be hard to be a pirate these days. If the French military isn’t chasing you off the coast of Africa, apparently all the artists of the world collectively hate you. I wonder if that means Johnny Depp is full of self-loathing?
This strip stems from a real incident. I had a female student panic one day in class because she thought had broken a video camera. By the time I removed the lens cap and showed her that it was fine she was in near hysterics. Remarkably, knock on wood, I’ve never seen a student break a video camera. Perhaps because they all live in mortal fear of breaking one?
