Trouble Finishing Things

I think most creative people can relate to this. You start one project, only to lose interest and drift on to another. On the other hand, I find it amusing when students ask me to explain a concept they can’t understand and then drift away. There’s probably a reason they didn’t understand it the first time.

TREY: Professor, I have trouble finishing things. I created a Facebook profile, but I never bothered to friend anyone. I joined a book club, but I never read any of the books. Every semester I drop a class by midterm, and I have four half eaten Hot Pockets in my freezer!

HOBO: Have you considered seeing the campus consoler? Or maybe setting small goals that are easily achievable?

HOBO: I think…hey, where'd he go?

    ‘Consoler’? Was that intentional or did you intend ‘counselor’? For those with ADD, perhaps a consoler would be appropriate.

    I’m guessing you were the victim of auto-completion.
