You know another good show they cancelled? Drive. Sure, it wasn’t great after the six or so episodes that actually aired, but it showed the promise of being pretty good. Maybe there should be a sort of majors and minors of network programming? If you do well on NBC you get to stay, but if you struggle they demote you to the USA Network where you get at least another season to try to find an audience.

There’s something funny about people being nostalgic for business that shut down. Sure, sometimes places shut down because they’re managed poorly. More often, however, I’d wager they shut down because no one ever goes there. I’ve seen this happen a few times, and when pushed on the matter the nostalgic always admit they rarely, if ever, went there.

I always appreciated as a kid when they showed superheroes in other places around the world. No, not because I was so enlightened at ten, but because I always worried if Superman was always busy in one town, didn’t all the other cities need someone to save them? Yes, comic books stressed me.

Vague Facebook status updates just about ruin it for me. Even worse, some people I really like are the worst offenders. Look, if it’s too personal to post about in any detail, then it’s probably too personal to post about even vaguely. Not everything has to be shared. Except crabs. You should probably let others know you’re afflicted. For safety reasons.

There’s always something funny to me when people completely miss the point of a complaint. I think most of the time them “missing” the complaint is simply a cover story, but regardless, I find humor in the situation. No, we’re not saying that the concerns of women should be mocked. Wee’re making fun of Mr. Mittens and those not quite hearing the real complaint. These types of strips always manage to get us in trouble with someone.

It’s always surprising how willing people are to share their dirty laundry on Facebook. And yes, that was meant both figuratively and literally. Did social media fundamentally change people, or have people always been eager to do so? For comedic effect, we’ll say a little of both. That leaves more opportunities for jokes.

This strip stems from a real incident. I had a female student panic one day in class because she thought had broken a video camera. By the time I removed the lens cap and showed her that it was fine she was in near hysterics. Remarkably, knock on wood, I’ve never seen a student break a video camera. Perhaps because they all live in mortal fear of breaking one?

I’m sure this strip will make some people angry. Some will assume it’s an attack on the iphone and Apple, while others will assume we’re mocking Android and Google. Why can’t it simply be both?
In seriousness, it seems like whatever phone you own, 98% of people are doing exactly the same things with them. They are phones, after all.

I’m always amazed by what companies are able to market and actually sell as “sexy.” Obvious thing like clothing are sold in this manner, but also more peculiar products like shampoo. It must work.
